Michael Mackniak, JD

Michael Mackniak doesn’t just study healthcare systems; he navigates the legal and clinical crosscurrents with the calm of a seasoned advocate and a radical empathy for the people trying to keep it all together."

As the architect of the Guardian Model and the voice behind the popular podcast "Holding It Together (Kinda)," Mike has dedicated his career to bridging the gap between clinical data and lived experience.

Mike challenges the "High-Tech Mirage"  arguing that while our tools have evolved, our communication remains grounded.

By focusing on the "Historians" in the waiting room and the "Inter-related Service Systems" that bind them, Mike provides a survival guide for a healthcare industry that is often flying blind. He is here to remind us that in a world of algorithms, the most powerful diagnostic tool we have is a human conversation.
